PRGI Community Watch Patrol

The Pegasus Residents' Group Incorporated (PRGI) started the Pegasus Community Watch patrol nearly ten years ago. It's a valuable community service that helps keep our community safe.

How does it work?

Volunteers from the community patrol the Pegasus community in a branded vehicle on Friday and Saturday nights and at other random times.

There are currently about 50-60 volunteers, so each person only has to go out on duty once every 3 – 4 months. Our volunteers are rostered on in pairs for safety.

Why do we need it?

The purpose of the patrols is to observe and report any suspicious or dangerous activity in the community. The role is nonconfrontational.

We are not the police!

Our Community Watch does not do the job of the Police.

If you have security concerns or see dangerous or suspicious activity, please contact the police by dialing 111 (threat to life or property) or 105 (after the event).

Keen to help?

We are always looking for volunteers to keep this service going for our community. If you are interested in joining this community minded group, or would like to know more, please email us: prgi@pegasusresidentsgroup.com.
