Pegasus drew a strong crowd on February 22nd as hundreds of residents came out to enjoy the annual Pegasus Family Fun Day, hosted by the Pegasus Residents Group.
With warm, sunny weather, families made the most of a wide range of activities spread across the reserve. Children enjoyed bouncy castles, face painting, and visits from well‑known characters including Spider‑Man and Bluey. A display of Morris Minors attracted plenty of interest, and the Kaiapoi Rock and Roll Club kept things lively with their demonstrations.
Kids axe throwing and the gladiator arena were also popular options. Food and drink stalls were busy throughout the day, providing a good mix of options for all ages. Local musicians Josh and Gina performed across the afternoon, adding to the relaxed, community‑focused atmosphere.
The event was supported by local sponsors Archgola, Paws Vets, Pegasus Bay Vets, Ray White, Pegasus Haven, Pegasus Nest, and Peg n Pint. A special thank‑you goes to the volunteers whose time and effort made the day possible. This year’s Family Fun Day delivered a well‑run community event with something for everyone.
