Volunteering in the community is good for you and good for others!
Come along to the Volunteer Expo and meet local groups and organisations who provide a range of community services around Waimakariri and need new volunteers. There is great mix of services: emergency, environmental, community/residential connection, social service, food sustainability, arts, information, and community service.
This is a great chance learn what the organisations do and chat about various volunteer roles, and projects in the district that might interest you - and find the best fit for your skills and interest.
Through volunteering, you can gain new skills, share your knowledge and experience, add extra fulfilment to your life, make others feel better, improve the environment, and enjoy a sense of giving back.
Our PRGI Team will also be there so come and learn a little more about what we do.
