Pegasus Residents' Group 2025/2026 Membership

Thank you so much to all of our Pegasus Residents' Group members for their suport over the last twelve months. 


Fees Remain The Same

The annual membership fee for the upcoming 2025/2026 period remains at $20.00 per household. This fee helps cover essential costs such as maintaining the community watch vehicle, organising events, and supporting other ongoing expenses that aren’t fully funded by grants or fundraising efforts.


Why Your Membership Matters

We are sometimes asked what some of the benefits are of being a member of the PRGI.  Simply put, your membership is vital in enabling us to advocate for the needs of the Pegasus community. It allows us to represent you in discussions with key stakeholders and ensures that your voice is heard on important matters.


Through your membership, we also offer various services and events that benefit the community as outlined below.


Year in Review

Our PRGI Committee and dedicated volunteers have had a busy year, contributing to several key community initiatives.


Notable highlights include:


  • Pegasus CCTV Project: We collaborated with key stakeholders to implement Phase One.

  • Partnered with the Waimakariri Civil Defence Emergency Management Team to set up and train volunteers for the Pegasus Community Emergency Hub, followed by a special community event in October 2024 to officially launch the hub as a vital resource in the event of a disaster.

  • Community Engagement: Our committee continues to be active members of groups, such as the Northern Pegasus Bay Advisory Group, Woodpecker Community Trust, Waimakariri District Council Liaison, Social Services Waimakariri, and the Make SH1 Safe Group.


We also organised several popular community events and activities, including:

  • Old School Family Fun Day in February 2025.

  • Co-hosting the Matariki Morning Tea with Pegasus Bay School in 2024 (2025 confirmed).

  • Christmas Lights Map and Halloween Map.


Alongside these activities, we manage the day-to-day operations of the Pegasus Community Centre and oversee the coordination of the Pegasus Community Watch. More info on what else we do.


New Payment Option

Invoices for the 2025/2026 membership fees will be emailed out within the next week. Payment can be made in the following ways:

  • NEW! Online via Stripe: This year, we’ve also enabled secure online payments through Stripe. A payment link will be on your invoice.

  • Internet Banking: Details will be provided on your invoice - or they are here.

  • Cash Payment: Details will be available on your membership invoice.
