The PRGI has been working closely with North Canterbury Neighborhood Support and local police about the possibility of CCTV in Pegasus and investigating what options are available.
We are holding a public meeting with the primary objective of presenting preliminary options and costs to our community and gaining feedback from residents on this proposed initiative.
To help set expectations for this meeting, its purpose is to discuss the potential to introduce a crime prevention and investigation tool to aid a safer community. The meeting will be looking to the future, drawing on examples used successfully elsewhere.
This is about what positive steps we could take moving forward. It won’t be an opportunity to discuss historic events at an individual level as there are other mechanisms to do that.
This is your opportunity to receive information directly from our team and project stakeholders and tell us what you think.
